MotorcoachNav is a driving aid from My Motorcoach Tools. Read these terms before you drive with it. You need to accept them to use the app.
Not a replacement for warning signs
MotorcoachNav gives advisory alerts and route checks about railroad crossings and low clearances. It does not replace posted warning signs, signals, road markings, or your training and judgment. Always obey posted clearance, weight and railroad crossing signs and all traffic laws, even when the app gives no alert or shows a different height.
Bridge clearances change
The clearance under a bridge or other structure can be lower than the app shows. Road construction and resurfacing raise the road surface, and snow, ice or damage can lower a clearance further. The app may not know about these changes. The clearance posted at the structure is the one to follow.
Our bridge data is not guaranteed
Bridge, clearance and railroad crossing data come from public sources, including the U.S. Department of Transportation and OpenStreetMap contributors. We cannot guarantee that this data is complete, accurate or current. Some low clearances, including many railroad bridges, are missing. No alert does not mean the way is clear.
You set your coach's height
Alerts and routes use the height you enter for each coach. Make sure it is the coach's actual height, including anything on the roof, and update it if the coach changes. The safety margin adds room for error; it can't make up for a wrong height.
Routes are not planned for your coach
Routes on the Trip tab come from Apple Maps and are planned for cars, not for your coach's height, length, width or weight. The route check only lists the low clearances and railroad crossings in the app's own data. A route with nothing listed can still have low clearances, weight limits or roads a coach can't use. Look over the route before you drive it, and follow posted signs over the app.
Alerts can be late, missed or wrong
GPS errors, a weak signal, a phone that is off, muted or out of battery, or the app being closed can cause late, missing or false alerts.
Hands off the phone while driving
Set up the app before you drive, and don't handle the phone while the coach is moving.
